How to Make a Bootable USB Flash Drive For Booting ISO Images

Operating system installers are usually distributed as ISO image files.  In order to use them, you need to make a bootable media, either a USB flash drive or a CDROM, and boot the ISO image from that media.

You cannot simply copy the installer files to a blank USB drive or a blank CDROM.  It won’t work.

One of the popular utility for creating a bootable ISO image is Rufus.
